How long will I wait for a surgery date?
The waiting period between consultation and surgery is typically three weeks.
How long will I be off work?
With an abdominoplasty, you may expect to go back to work within two to four weeks, depending on the level of activity required for your job.
When having a breast lift, you will likely be off work for a week. After breast augmentation surgery, some patients are back to work in 5 days.
May I combine my abdominoplasty with another cosmetic surgical procedure?
You may have a breast lift or breast augmentation done at the same time as your abdominoplasty. Patients chose this option to save on down time.
May I have liposuctioning of the abdominal area done at the same time as my abdominoplasty?
Dr. Niessen often does liposuctioning of the upper abdomen when he performs an abdominoplasty, at no charge to the patient. Often patients request liposuctioning of the thighs and "love handles" at the same time.
